Tweetbike redux

One should never haul out an old idea, of course. The novelty’s worn off and everybody’s bored.

But in a world of pop-up applications and never-heard-of-again gimmicks, it’s easy to try something once and just not bother again. So, rain, or no rain, if someone is stuck tomorrow (3 October) due to the tube strike and wants a lift somewhere on my bike, and its logistically possible, it will happen. For free.

Why? The full blurb is here.

But the deep-down reason is: I love serendipity, meeting new people, riding a motorbike, and it’s likely to be more interesting a day than anything else I might have had planned.

  1. One should never haul out an old idea… unless, of course, it’s a good one. Then it’s worth hauling it out over and over again, until the last time you do it when everyone says, “that’s completely obvious, why have you only just thought of it?” – at which point your job is done.
